The Docklands Cotton Mills sits on the Maribyrnong River directly opposite the Melbourne docks and was officially opened in 1927 as the Bradford Cotton Mills.
The Docklands Cotton Mills was later used as a glass and rubber factory and today is the home to an eclectic mix of businesses ranging from TV production houses, small niche manufacturing businesses, graphic design and web design agencies, I.T. service providers, local artists and of course Factory 59, which is a perfect venue for off site meetings.
The Docklands Cotton Mills building has historical significance and therefore has heritage overlays placed upon it. These overlays ensure that much of the building retains its original character and looks the same as it did in its early days giving the Mills a unique feel.
